This is another thing I like to refer to as the self-awareness of the analyst. The analyst is someone who is on a journey, a journey to understanding the self. The same goes for our lives. We need to spend some time on self-awareness to help us make better decisions, better choices, and better lives.
The research in behavioral economics shows that human beings are very good at learning from their mistakes. So in our case, we need to be on a journey to find out how to make better decisions and better choices. Our lives can be a lot of fun if we can find the right places to explore and the right things to do.

We’ve all made mistakes in our lives, and when we try to fix them, we usually end up looking for the right excuses. If we’re honest with ourselves, we can easily admit that we’re not perfect and that we’re not perfect at the moment, so we’ll often want to hide our mistakes in order to keep them to ourselves.
At the time of this writing, nearly 40% of American adults have admitted to having at least one significant self-awareness mistake, and many of these mistakes are quite damaging, like lying to a friend about something that happened the night before, or failing to admit to a close friend that your car is broken.
I find this a bit troubling because, as I said, many of us are not perfect at the moment, and when we talk to others about these mistakes, we often say that they’re okay as long as they’re not a problem for us.
I think that if you’re not perfect yourself, you can easily fall into the same trap as a lot of people. As a matter of fact, if you have a bad day, I know I do. You start to feel bad about yourself and think that you should’ve done better, and then you start to do better and you feel worse about yourself and so on.
So I think when we talk about things like this, we need to be careful. As an example, when I was a new adult I had a few friends that I had some personal problems with. I could tell them things about what I was going through, but I’d still hear them say, “I don’t know how you can have those problems if you don’t know how you’re doing.
If you think being self-aware is a pain, you probably have no idea how difficult it is to be self-aware. Self-awareness is something all of us should strive for as we age.
Not only will you find yourself questioning your own behaviors and choices, but you will probably find that your peers will be questioning their own behaviors as well. And in the end, your peers will be making the same decisions as you. They’ll probably be doing things you are doing, and you’ll be doing things they are doing, and you’ll be doing things together, and they’ll be doing things together. Eventually, you’ll be doing things together on an equal footing.
