Our goal in this level is to determine how we got here, however, the game seems to be implying that this is the end state of our story. If so, our objective is to learn the answer to our question.

The problem? This game seems to be so lacking in story that it’s difficult to tell what the actual story is. Is Colt’s quest to save the Visionaries for something we might want to come back to? Is Colt’s quest truly the cause of his amnesia? Does he even have the ability to change the world? If we can make sense of the game’s end state, we will learn more about Colt’s story.

I think the final game is a mess, but it’s probably the best we should be able to tell from his story. If there’s a connection, it’s probably just a loose thread that can be pulled later. In the meantime, a couple questions remain unanswered.
