isometry
Isometry is the belief that there is only one true form of reality in the universe, that all reality is merely a construct of our minds.
I’m not sure that there is one true form of reality, but isometry is a belief in the existence of a “best” form of reality. The best form of reality is what makes the most sense, the easiest to understand, the most consistent with our current theories. All else is just a construct of our minds.
At least that’s what I’ve been told by a lot of isometry believers, and I think it’s a good thing. I don’t think they’re wrong, I just disagree with them. I don’t think there is one true form of reality, but I do think that there are different forms of reality. I think there are forms that are consistent with both science and mythology, and other forms that are inconsistent with both.
I was told by several people that there are no absolutes. That its impossible to prove which is more real, and I dont think this is true. I think there are a lot of different forms of reality, and there is some sort of order that can be established as reality. I think there is some form of reality that can be proven to exist, and that would be a different form of reality.
In the case of the Alien, it was found that a “realistic” existence is an absolute, and I don’t think there are any absolutes, the Alien might have had their own form of reality, but it is so far from the truth that it would not be a possibility to prove this.
